Managed IT services / IT consulting
IT decisions
made with judgement.
Technology strategy and architecture aligned with your business, with no ties to any vendor. We help you decide where to invest, what to avoid and in what order, with data and total cost on the table. Less spend with no return, more technology that works for you.
What IT consulting is
Advice, not
selling a product.
Independent IT consulting means advising on technology from the client’s side: understanding the goals of the business and recommending what to do with technology to reach them. We don’t sell licences or hardware, and we take no manufacturer commissions. Our work is thejudgement, not the product.
That distinction changes everything. When whoever advises you also sells to you, the recommendation always leans toward their catalogue. Being independent, we can tell you the best option is tokeep what you already have, switch vendors or not spend yet. We look at your case —size, sector, team, budget and risks— and put the options on the table with their pros, their cons and their total cost, so you make the decision with all the information.
This isn’t theory from an office: as we are also a technical team, every recommendation is executable and we know what it takes to put it into practice. It is part of ourmanaged IT services: we help you decide well and, if you want, execute what you decided, with a clear roadmap and a predictable cost.
Problems it solves
When technology
goes its own way.
Investments with no return
Expensive technology gets bought and then half-used or not used at all. The money is already spent and the problem it was meant to solve is still there.
Technology out of step with the business
The systems go one way and the company’s goals another. IT stops being a lever and becomes a weight to drag around.
Dependence on a single vendor
All the knowledge and all the contracts sit with one supplier. Switching costs so much that you end up overpaying for fear of moving.
No roadmap
Every decision is made on the fly, putting out the fire of the day. Without a plan, technology grows in patches and no one knows what comes next.
Decisions by fashion
A technology gets adopted because a peer uses it or it sounded good at a trade show, not because it solves a real, measurable business problem.
Risks no one has assessed
Security, compliance, continuity or dependence on a key person: risks you don’t see until they blow up, and by then it is late and expensive.
What we advise on
Where we bring
judgement.
We cover the decisions that set the direction of technology in a company. Count on us for the whole picture or just the point that worries you most:
- IT strategy and roadmap
- Systems architecture
- Cloud migration
- Security and compliance (GDPR)
- Software and vendor selection
- Budget and total cost (TCO)
- Data governance
- Business continuity
Cases by goal
Every goal,
its decision.
| Business goal | Challenge | How we approach it |
|---|---|---|
| Grow without IT holding you back | Current systems can’t keep up with the planned growth | A scaling roadmap and an architecture ready for more users, sites and volume, without rebuilding everything. |
| Reduce IT cost | Scattered spend, overlapping contracts and unused licences | TCO analysis, vendor consolidation and real savings without losing capability or service. |
| Move to the cloud with judgement | Doubts between cloud, on-premise or a hybrid model | A decision based on workloads, cost and requirements —not fashion—, with a phased migration plan. |
| Comply and reduce risk | GDPR, security and audits pending with no clear plan | A security and compliance plan prioritised by impact, with controls and owners defined. |
| Choose an ERP or a CRM | Too many options and a lot of sales pressure | An independent selection by requirements and total cost, with a defensible decision and no lock-in. |
The core idea
The best IT investment is deciding well before spending.
Benefits and outcomes
What you gain
by deciding well.
Decide with data
Every decision rests on a diagnosis, on compared options and on total cost, not on intuition or the latest industry trade show.
Savings and return
We cut spend with no return —unused licences, overlapping contracts, oversizing— and prioritise what truly serves the business.
Less risk
Security, compliance, continuity and dependencies get assessed before they turn into an expensive, urgent problem.
Independence (no lock-in)
We recommend what suits you, not what suits us to sell. You keep control and the ability to change vendors.
Business and technology aligned
IT stops going its own way: every investment answers a concrete, measurable goal of the company.
An actionable roadmap
Not a report for the shelf, but a plan with order, timeline and budget that can be executed from day one.
Approach and scope
What we
draw on.
We don’t apply a template: we start from your goals and your real state, and prioritise the decisions with the most impact for the least effort.
The CPPA methodology
From doubt
to decision.
Understand the business and the current state
We start from your goals, not from the technology. We listen to the business and to IT, inventory systems, contracts, costs and risks, and map out where you really stand today.
Diagnosis and options
We put on the table what works, what holds you back and where the risk sits. For each decision we present options with their pros, cons, total cost and fit with the business. No sales agenda.
Prioritised roadmap
We turn the diagnosis into a plan with order and a timeline: what to do first by impact and effort, what depends on what, and the budget each step needs. An actionable plan, not a report for the shelf.
Support through execution
A roadmap that never gets executed is worth nothing. We support you through rollout, vendor selection and follow-up, adjusting the plan as reality changes.
Examples
How it looks
in practice.
A 3-year IT roadmap
- Business goals and priorities
- Inventory of systems, costs and risks
- Diagnosis and gaps against the goal
- Initiatives prioritised by impact and effort
- Timeline and budget by phase
- Regular review and adjustment
Cloud vs on-premise decision
- Analysis of current workloads
- Latency, control and compliance requirements
- Total cost (TCO) comparison over several years
- Recommendation: cloud, on-premise or hybrid
- Phased migration plan with rollback
Selecting an ERP or CRM
- Requirements by area and process
- An objective shortlist of candidates
- Demos and tests with real cases
- Comparison by requirements and total cost
- A defensible decision and rollout plan
Security and compliance plan
- Risk and surface assessment
- Assessment against GDPR and ISO 27001
- Controls prioritised by impact
- Owners, policies and logs
- A verifiable improvement plan over time
Risks and mitigation
Every risk,
its countermeasure.
Independent consulting has its own risks, and we keep them in mind. These are the ones that matter most and how we mitigate them:
Advice skewed by the sale
Whoever advises you and sells you the product at the same time is not neutral. We avoid it by being vendor-independent: we charge for the judgement, not the licence. The recommendation looks at your business, not our catalogue.
Analysis paralysis
Analysing everything forever is another way of not deciding. We mitigate it by prioritising by impact: we start with the decisions that move the needle most and act on enough data, not perfect data.
The plan that stays in a drawer
A brilliant report no one executes changes nothing. That is why we don’t deliver and disappear: we support execution and revisit the plan as reality changes.
Hidden overspend
The purchase price is only the tip of the iceberg. We work with total cost of ownership (TCO): licences, migration, training, maintenance and exit, so there are no surprises later.
Generic recommendations
What works in one company can be a mistake in yours. We always start from your real context —size, sector, team and goals— before recommending anything.
Deciding by fashion
Adopting a technology because it is fashionable is taking on risk for no reason. We decide by judgement and data: what problem it solves, what it costs and what it brings to the business.
